Frog Watching Over Us

Since we moved to Florida, every once in a while in the evenings after the boys are in bed, a frog suctions up to a window that we are in. It only happens when Chad is in the room. We've decided that it is Lou Ann (Chad's mom) checking in on us since she loved frogs. Everytime it comes to the window we say there's Lou Ann or mom checking in on us. It makes us feel good anyways just to think of it that way since we don't have anyone here in Florida to watch after us.

The Sun Returns....

Today was the first day in over a week that the sun was out most the day, so we took advantage of the weather and spent some time outside. Will played soccer with his daddy and Landon, well I think the pictures explain it all....

Landon's getting pretty good at drawing circles and I guess now he can even paint them on his belly.

The best part for the boys was getting the hose out to rinse the paint off Landon. The boys had a blast running through the water to cool off.

Fay Won't Go Away....

We thought we had made it through our first Tropical Storm here in Florida, but last night and today the wind picked up and the rain has been a lot heavier. Needless to say, it has gotten worse instead of better. It has consistently been raining since Monday. News reports are saying that areas not more than 30 minutes from us have received more than 20 inches of rain the last 2 days. So far everything is fine with us, although we just received a phone call that Will does not have school again tomorrow due to some power outages at some of the schools as well as the roads are not safe to drive on. Chad's not sure about the University closing yet, although students are suppose to be moving in tomorrow, so he will probably have work. We'll keep you posted if anything changes.

Pot Belly Pig

We have seen a lot of wild life in our neighborhood and yard especially deer and raccoons (no alligators - thank goodness), but today topped the cake when we saw a pot belly pig. At first it looked like a black cat and then we realized it was not a cat, but a pot belly pig. It didn't walk very fast and just looked at us from across the street.

Tropical Storm Fay

For those of you wondering, we made it through Tropical Storm Fay with no problems. We had some wind and a lot of rain, but no flooding or power outage. Unless we slept through the worse of it, we have actually been through worse storms in Asheville. Will did not have school yesterday, but he did go back today and he was very eager as today he had P.E. and he bought his lunch because they had pizza.

Will's First Day of Kindergarten

Today was an exciting and sad time for the Morgan Family as Will started Kindergarten. Will was a little nervous as he didn't know who his new friends were going to be at his new school. Mommy on the other hand was a little sad to see her baby boy starting big school. Will did great for his first day, but was pretty worn out. He said that he has a new buddy, but he doesn't know his name yet. Tomorrow school has already been canceled because of the bad weather that is coming through. It must be pretty bad because the University where Chad works is closing as well. This is our first experience with a Tropical Storm since we have been in Florida.

Trip to North Carolina

Last week we went to North Carolina for a quick visit before Chad gets busy with work and before Will starts school. It was great seeing everyone and we wished we had more time to visit. Sorry to those of you who we didn't get to see, maybe the next trip we will have more time.

This week Will had his 5 year check up at the doctor so he can start kindergarten and since he was so good, the boys and mommy went to the Marble Slab for ice cream. The boys were so excited to get this treat!!

They are such big boys. Landon is so happy!!! He loves food.
