Dentist Visit

Today mommy took Will and Landon to the dentist for a check up. This was Landon's first visit and he did FANTASTIC!! He hopped right up into the chair without hesitation and did exactly what he was told. This Dentist Office is just for children and you could tell as soon as you step foot into the door. The office was a ship theme. On one side of the waiting room was a video game room and the other side was a big ship and inside was a movie theater, which Landon kept saying "where's the treasure". The dental hygienists and the dentist were so great with the kids. One thing that has been hard moving to a new place is finding good doctors and dentists. This one today is a keeper.
Open up wide Landon!!

Landon had to put his little hands on everything that they were going to put in his mouth.
Landon getting his teeth shinny. He was such a good boy!!

Will had his first x-rays on his teeth today. When the dental hygienist said to be still he was like a statue. He did AWESOME, which is no surprise for Will!! His two top front teeth are starting to get a little loose and he will start getting his 6 year molars soon.

Will got to wear these super cool sunglasses because the light was bright in his eyes.
Both the boys came home with a bag that had a new tooth brush that they each got to pick out, Sponge Bob toothpaste , floss and two stickers. Mommy asked Will what his favorite thing was at the Dentist and he said the flavor of the fluoride treatment they put on his teeth. Will had orange and Landon had Banana. They both picked out those flavors on their own. Will is at such a funny age. We never know what he is going to say. You would have thought his favorite thing was the waiting room or the bag of goodies.

Trampoline

Landon got a miniature trampoline for his birthday! It's perfect for him as he is like an energizer bunny that goes and goes until he crashes in his bed at nap time and at night. This is going to be a great outlet for the boys to let out some energy. The boys love it as you can see from the video. Thanks Papaw and Terri!!

Landon's 3rd Birthday!!

Today Landon turned 3 years old. We are so blessed to have him in our lives. Landon is such a funny kid. He always says things that will make you laugh and his smile is so contagious. It's so hard to believe that 3 years ago he was a little infant that could only cry, eat and sleep and 3 years later he has turned into this little boy who is potty trained, knows his entire alphabet as well as the sounds of each letter and can pretty much carry on a conversation with us now. New words he has picked up lately are "of course" and "probably". It's so funny to hear them come out of his little mouth.
Landon LOVES chocolate, so mommy made him a chocolate cake today, not one of her best, but the boys said it tasted good, which is all that matters.

Here is Landon after he ate his big piece of chocolate cake with chocolate icing.
One Happy Boy!!

Celebrating Landon's Birthday at Disney World!!

Today we went to Magic Kingdom for Landon's Birthday. His birthday is really not until Tuesday, but we decided to celebrate a little early. We started out by getting Will and Landon Mickey ears with their names on the back, which actually were a present from Grandmother and Granddaddy. Thanks Grandmother and Granddaddy for the hats. The boys love them!! Next we went and had lunch at the Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. The boys had a blast! Mommy and daddy had a great time too just watching the boys faces and taking pictures as you can see below. After lunch we hit a few spots at Magic Kingdom that we haven't done yet and of course we had to ride Buzz Light Year. That ride is a must every time we go. It was a perfect day to celebrate Landon's birthday and what a better place to do it at then the most "Magical" place in the world.

Green Meadows Farm Field Trip

Today Will's class went on a field trip to Green Meadows Farm. Daddy stayed home with Landon so mommy could be a chaperone on the field trip. Mommy and Will had a great day together doing so many fun things! They got to ride a train, go on a hay ride, pet and hold all kinds of animals, milk a cow, and Will got to ride a pony. It was a little strange being at a farm/petting zoo where there are palm trees. Definitely not like the farms in North Carolina, that's for sure.

Nana and Pop Come to Visit

Nana and Pop (Dottie's parents) came to visit for the first time since we moved to Orlando. We had a fun filled week and Nana and Pop did what all grandparents do.... spoil the grand kids. Nana's birthday was on Sunday and Landon, Will's and Pop's are within the next couple weeks, so we celebrated everyones birthday while Nana and Pop were in town. All week, Landon would say "this is so special".

One day we went and had breakfast with Goofy, Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck. This was Will's favorite thing he did while Nana and Pop were in town. It really was a lot of fun! Will and Landon's birthdays are coming up within the next couple weeks, so all the characters sang happy birthday to them and gave them a chocolate cupcake.

For Nana's birthday on Sunday, we went to Animal Kingdom, which is her favorite park at Disney World. The boys had a blast showing Nana and Pop everything. Will especially couldn't wait to show Nana the Flamingo's. Dottie and her dad road Expedition Everest, which is a roller coaster. Chad doesn't like roller coasters so he really didn't mind to watch the boys:) Dottie's dad turns 60 next month, so as soon as they got off the ride, she said "happy 60th birthday dad". Not many 60 year olds could probably handle this ride. It was pretty intense from what Dottie said, but Dottie's dad said "it was AWESOME"!

Thanks Nana and Pop for coming to see us in Florida and spoiling us while you were here. Pop, thanks for cleaning the windows. Dottie definitely gets her cleaning honest. Nana, thanks for all the goodies and the helpful cooking tips. We're going to miss you guys and hope to get up to North Carolina soon.

Landon really enjoyed his chocolate cupcake! Once he got the cupcake, he paid no attention to the characters. Landon loves his food, especially sweets.

Will chose to eat fruit instead of his chocolate cupcake. He definitely gets that from him mommy.

Crazy Hair Day

This week at Will's school they have been celebrating Dr. Seuss. Each day they have done a different fun activity that focuses on a Dr. Seuss book. Monday was mixed up day. Will wore his shirt backwards and inside out. Tuesday was top hat day. Will had to wear black pants and a white shirt and at school he made a Dr. Seuss hat and a bow tie to complete his outfit. Wednesday was silly sock day. Today, well I think the picture explains it. It was crazy hair day. Will could not wait for today as he really wanted to wear his hair straight up. He's been wanting to get a spiked hair cut, which is so not happening, so hopefully today will satisfy him for a while. Friday is funny food day. They will be making Green Eggs and Ham.....yummy.

Our Little Conductor

Landon LOVES Thomas the Train. The other night we were at Will's basketball celebration party and they introduced a gentlemen named Thomas to come up to talk. Of course it was quiet and Landon shouted out....Thomas the Train! Landon heard the name Thomas, so he just thought they were talking about Thomas the Train.
Landon loves to wear his Thomas the Train costume he wore for Halloween. Today he decided to just wear the hat. Gotta love that smile. He's such a happy kid!!

Will's First Basket

Saturday was Will's last basketball game for the season. He had such a great time playing and improved so much from the first day.

After an entire season of trying, Will finally got his first basket during the game. We were so proud of him and he was even more excited to get a score. We were even lucky enough to catch it on video. Hope you enjoy the video as much as we do. He starts out not really knowing where to take the ball, but then he gets going and no one is stopping him. He even does a little spin at the end before he shoots the ball and yaaaaaa.... it goes in. Everyone was so excited for Will, especially Mommy, Daddy, and Landon.
