Papaw and Terri

Papaw and Terri came down to Orlando to visit us for a few days and we had a blast! They were here the weekend before Will's birthday and 3 weeks after Landon's birthday so we went to the Contemporary Hotel and had brunch at Chef Mickey's to celebrate both the boys birthday's. It was so much fun! I'm not sure if the kids had more fun or the adults. Anywhere on Disney property is so "Magical" for all ages! After we ate, we went to SeaWorld for Will's birthday. We were all pretty wiped out after a day with the sea animals, but that didn't keep Papaw from getting into more adventures. That night he camped out with Will and Landon on the porch. I think of all the things we did that weekend, camping will probably be the most memorable for the boys. Our boys are so blessed to have such amazing grandparents.

Can't come to Orlando without seeing Mickey Mouse!!!!

Since it was Will's birthday, he wanted to sit at the bottom of the Shamu show so he could get wet. This is Will after the show. He didn't get completely soaked, but enough for him to want to sit at the bottom again.

So this is what grandfather's are for.

Papaw and Landon! Everyone asks who Landon looks like. Well here you go...he looks like Papaw.

Mommy's three favorite boys!!
Love this picture of Chad smiling since he never smiles in pictures.
Will and Landon with their wooden Shamu tail necklace.

The first day that Papaw and Terri were here, Landon told Papaw that he wanted to go camping. So, papaw told him that they would camp outside on our porch. Landon has never camped in a tent outside before and so his little brain was just rolling with.....well, Papaw do you have a pillow, a sleeping bag, flash light, your tooth brush, marshmellows, and the list went on...... Landon was sooooo... cute. I wished we had recorded him talking about this camping adventure. After they were in the tent, mommy was completely expecting Will and Landon to come inside but within 5 minutes they were all sound asleep, Papaw included. None of them woke up until 10:30am the next morning. We need Papaw to do this more often as it was so nice to sleep in, not to mention the memories that the boys will cherish forever. Thanks Papaw!! Don't forget to bring your tent to the lake and oh yea, marshmellow, sleeping bag, flash light, etc.....

Thank you Papaw and Terri for coming to see us! We miss you already and can't wait to see you this summer!

Track and Field

The University of Central Florida (where daddy works) had a Sports Clinic for kids starting at age 5. Unfortunately Landon was not quite old enough to participate, but Will was so excited to get to play a sport at Daddy's work. The clinic was on a Saturday morning for 3 hours and they offered all sports. Will loves to run, so he chose Track and Field, which daddy and papaw loved. He got tired pretty soon after he started, but overall, he seemed to like it.

Future track star.

Just like his daddy, he has already started on the hurdles.
How cute are those hurdles!

Will's 7th Birthday!!

On April 21st, Will turned 7. It is so hard to believe we have a 7 year old. For almost a year, all Will talked about was a birthday party with his friends. Well, about two weeks before his birthday, he decided that he didn't want a party with his friends anymore, he just wanted to go to SeaWorld. Lucky for us we have passes this year and Papaw and Terri happen to be in town and got to go with us. On Will's actual birthday, mommy and Landon took cupcakes to his class at school, which Will just loved. For dinner Will wanted to make a homemade pizza followed by a Star Wars Cake made especially by mommy.

Will got into Star Wars about a week before his birthday, so that is what he wanted mommy to put on his cake.

So excited about his cake!!!!

Cool.....Star Wars!!!!

Mommy and Daddy got Will a Leap Frog Didj. Will loves it and has learned so much from it.

Happy 7th Birthday Buddy!

Will's Field Trip to the Butterfly Nursery

Will's class took a field trip to a Butterfly Nursery. Mommy got to go along as a chaperon, which Will just loved.

All the kids got to hold a butterfly.

Each of the kids in Will's class made a t-shirt so they would all match on the field trip. Isn't it so cute!!

This isn't a great picture, but it is the only picture that mommy could get of Will raising his hand to answer a question. Mommy was so proud to see Will participate. Science is Will's favorite subject, so this was right up his alley.

The Fletcher's came for a visit

Aunt Mandi, Uncle Walter, Abram and Katie came to visit us while they were on spring break. It's always so nice to have family come visit us and it was especially nice for them to spend Easter with us. We a ton of fun and stayed super busy! The first day we decided to go strawberry picking, which was a lot of fun, but that is a post all in itself. Outside of the strawberry picking and making jam that took about two days, we went to the pool, beach, shopping at Downtown Disney, splash park, dyed eggs and the cousins just played and had a great time being together.

Katie, Landon, Abram and Will in front of the Lego Dragon at Downtown Disney.

Landon and Katie were so happy to be together.

The cousins had a BLAST at the splash park.

Cocoa Beach

These two are inseparable. Most of the time we could find them playing together quietly in Landon's room.

Katie is such a cutie pie and so girlie, which mommy just loves. It was fun to watch uncle Chad just melt when Katie came up to him.

It was SO NICE having a 1st Grade teacher in the house to help Will with his homework. Thanks Aunt Mandi! We need you here every night:)

Strawberry Picking

While Aunt Mandi, Uncle Walter, Abram and Katie were in town we went strawberry picking. Everyone had a great time and I think our eyes were bigger than our brains, because we came home with more strawberries than we knew what to do with. We all LOVE strawberries but we seriously had a ton!

Abram, Will, Landon and Katie picked strawberries for about 30 minutes. Surprisingly enough they didn't eat more than they picked.

The strawberry farm we went to was huge. This picture is not even a fourth of the farm. Needless to say we didn't even make a dent.

The cousins had a picnic lunch while Aunt Mandi, Uncle Walter and Daddy picked away.

The two white blobs are daddy and Aunt Mandi. They could have picked all day. It's something they have in their blood as their mom, Lou Ann, would have been right with them picking. They said it was a stress reliever, so they must have been pretty stressed because we came home with "65 pints" of strawberries.

I know to some of you this looks like a lot of strawberries, but this was taken after 57 jars of jam were made and we had already frozen and eaten some.

We have done everything we know to do with strawberries this week...strawberry shortcake, strawberry popsicles, strawberry muffins, strawberry pie, smoothies, strawberry jam, freezer jam and just as a snack. Good thing we LOVE strawberries because we will be eating on them for awhile.

Easter 2010

Easter is always a special day, but it is even more special when you get to spend it with family. The Fletcher's came to Florida for their spring break and it worked out that they were here for Easter. The morning started with the kids seeing what the Easter Bunny brought. Then we all got dressed up and went to church. After church we had lunch, Aunt Mandi dyed eggs with the kids, and then the kids went swimming at the neighborhood pool. While the kids (and two adults of course) were at the pool, the Easter Bunny came and hid eggs in our back yard. When the kids came home from the pool, they were so excited to hunt for the eggs. The rest of the day was spent making strawberry jelly and the kids played.

The cousins - Landon, Will, Abram and Katie. It's a miracle to get all four of them to look at the camera.

We haven't had a picture of the two of us in a really long time. It was nice to have someone take it for us.

The entire Morgan/Fletcher crew.

Happy egg hunter!

Abram, Katie and Landon opened there eggs on the trampoline. This was a favorite place for the cousins to hang out. We found them jumping, playing with cars, eating there snack and one time we caught them trying to take a nap.....funny kids.

Will didn't want to open his eggs with Landon, Abram and Katie as he was afraid they would take his eggs. Will is really funny about "his stuff" these days. Everything that he likes and doesn't want Landon or anyone to touch it can be found under his bed.

God has truely blessed our family!!

HAPPY EASTER!!

Landon's 4th Birthday!!

On Wednesday, March 24th Landon turned 4 years old. It is so hard to believe he is that old. The past 4 years have just flown by. We are so grateful to have Landon in our lives. He is the most gracious, happy, funny, energetic, and the smartest little boy. Oh ya, and THE BEST HUGGER.

On his birthday mommy made cupcakes for Landon to take to school for his class, which he was super excited about. That evening Landon got to pick what he wanted for dinner, which was chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese and salad. About two months ago Landon said he wanted a Thomas the Train cake up until about a week before his birthday and then he decided he wanted a monster truck cake. Not really sure where that one came from, but mommy rigged up a monster truck cake for him and Landon was just thrilled with it.
Just before Landon blew out his candles, we told him to make a wish. Landon closed his eyes and put his hands together and he said a quick prayer to God......so cute.

Our happy little 4 year old.

Landon got that hat at school for his birthday and he wore it the rest of the day.
