Will's Birthday Party at Blizzard Beach

Will doesn't know many people yet in Florida to come to a party, so we let him pick what he wanted to do for his birthday and he chose to go to Blizzard Beach, a water park at Disney World. We had not been to this water park yet, so it was exciting for all four of us. It was a perfect day, as the weather was gorgeous (not too hot and not too cold) and it was not crowded at all. We highly recommend this water park as it is fun for ALL AGES. Towards the end of the day, Will said to mommy "This is a fun birthday party!". Hope you enjoy the slide show of our fun field day at the park. We would like to have taken more pictures, but we didn't want to get the camera wet.

Papaw, we found a job for you down here. The only thing different is that you can go to work in your flip flops.

Happy Birthday Will!!

Today Will turned 6 and what a wonderful 6 years it has been!! Will is the most loving, tender, caring, child and our lives would not be complete without him. It's kind of sad to think that we can no longer count how old he is on one hand. We now have to use two. Where has the time gone? It seems just like yesterday he was a baby. In the past year Will has turned into this little independent boy who goes to school everyday and no longer needs mommy or daddy to hold his hand to walk into school.

Will has been waiting for today (his birthday) since the day after he turned 5. Will's birthday is his favorite holiday/celebration all year. The only thing we can figure is that all the attention is on him. Will was so excited last night about his birthday today that he had a really hard time going to sleep, but finally he did and woke up super excited that today was finally his birthday. He started out the morning by eating a strawberry waffle and then off to school he went. Later in the day, mommy and Landon took cupcakes to Will's class. Kindergartners are so cute as they get excited over the smallest things. How long does that last? For dinner, Will wanted chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese and Caesar salad. After dinner, we had cake that mommy had made earlier in the day with Landon. After cake, Will got to open up presents, which he had patiently waited for all day. On Saturday, we are going to a water park at Disney World (Blizzard Beach) for Will's birthday. Check back after Saturday for an update on that adventure.
6 year old smile.

6 year old silly face.

Mrs. Winemiller (Will's teacher) and his class sang and danced a birthday song to Will.

Will and Landon eating cupcakes in Will's class. Landon had a ball and of course was the show pony the entire time we were their.

Mommy made this special cake for Will. All he said he wanted was a yellow cake with blue icing and yellow writing on top. Mommy added the SpongeBob toy on top to give it a little character. Will ended up liking the SpongeBob toy better than the cake.

Will is showing mommy how big of a piece he wants.

One happy boy!!
Will got that birthday hat at school and he wore it all day and all night until he had to get ready for bed. Now the hat is sitting on Will's night stand and he is sound asleep. He had no trouble going to sleep tonight.
Happy Birthday Will!! We love you!!

Happy Easter!!

We had a great Easter Sunday!! This morning mommy and daddy were awoke by two little boys who were all smiles, jumping up and down and saying "get up, get up.... the Easter Bunny came!!" After we saw what the Easter Bunny had brought, we then got dressed up and went to church. After church we came home and the boys hunted for eggs in our back yard. We then made egg salad sandwiches with the dyed eggs for lunch.....yummy!! The rest of the day was pretty relaxing as the boys played with their new goodies from the Easter Bunny and daddy took a nap. It was a great day!!

We are so blessed to have two beautiful healthy boys and so grateful that Jesus rose for us.

All three of mommy's favorite boys smiling at the camera. Just to get Landon and Will to both smile and look at the same time is a challenge, but even Chad is smiling.....that never happens.

Landon's everyday smile.

They're off for an egg hunt!!

Dying Eggs

As a family last night we dyed eggs. It was a lot of fun!! All Landon really wanted to do was stir the dyed water in the cup and Will was trying his hardest to make sure everything was just perfect. Mommy and daddy tried to see who could dye the most eggs and also keep Landon from getting the dyed water everywhere with his spoon.

Aunt Myra

Aunt Myra had to go back to N.C. and mommy, Will and Landon were really sad for her to leave. She is always such a big help and the boys absolutely adore her. Thanks Myra for coming to see where we live now. Landon's been calling your name since you left.

Landon going down the slide with Aunt Myra at the park in our neighborhood. He was all smiles when they got to the bottom.

Will reading Aunt Myra "Green Eggs and Ham". Myra was so impressed that he could read the entire book by himself.

A Day at Magic Kingdom with Myra

Chad has been out of town this week in Charlotte for a conference and Will has been on spring break. Lucky for mommy, Aunt Myra (Dottie's little sister) came to visit!! Yesterday mommy and Aunt Myra took the boys to Magic Kingdom for the day. They had a fun filled day and pretty much covered the entire park.

Landon loves the characters!! Here he is giving Minnie a kiss. He is such a sweet boy!!
Here are the boys with Aunt Myra on the tea cup ride. Mommy really didn't mind to stay behind and take pictures for this ride as it makes her a little queasy or maybe it's just when Daddy is spinning it. Landon laughed the entire ride and throughout the day kept wanting to go back and ride it. This was Landon's favorite thing he did with Aunt Myra at Magic Kingdom.

Will had a big time driving Aunt Myra on the speedway track. Landon was asleep at this point so mommy hung out with him while Will had some special time with Aunt Myra. This ride and of course the Buzz Lightyear ride were Will's two favorite things he did with Aunt Myra at Magic Kingdom.
One tired boy after a 12 hour day at Magic Kingdom.
Landon actually fell asleep while mommy held him during the fireworks show. He must have been REALLY tired because Landon never falls asleep anywhere we go and the fireworks were not real quiet.

Will and Landon playing together

Not everyday do the boys play quietly together. Usually one wants what the other one has and they start fighting. Today mommy caught them playing together, which only lasted about 30 minutes, but more than 2 minutes is FANTASTIC! It was just enough time to take a picture of the sweet, quiet moment of them playing together and to get dinner started.

Mommy loves these sweet moments of her boys getting along!!

Dentist Visit

Today mommy took Will and Landon to the dentist for a check up. This was Landon's first visit and he did FANTASTIC!! He hopped right up into the chair without hesitation and did exactly what he was told. This Dentist Office is just for children and you could tell as soon as you step foot into the door. The office was a ship theme. On one side of the waiting room was a video game room and the other side was a big ship and inside was a movie theater, which Landon kept saying "where's the treasure". The dental hygienists and the dentist were so great with the kids. One thing that has been hard moving to a new place is finding good doctors and dentists. This one today is a keeper.
Open up wide Landon!!

Landon had to put his little hands on everything that they were going to put in his mouth.
Landon getting his teeth shinny. He was such a good boy!!

Will had his first x-rays on his teeth today. When the dental hygienist said to be still he was like a statue. He did AWESOME, which is no surprise for Will!! His two top front teeth are starting to get a little loose and he will start getting his 6 year molars soon.

Will got to wear these super cool sunglasses because the light was bright in his eyes.
Both the boys came home with a bag that had a new tooth brush that they each got to pick out, Sponge Bob toothpaste , floss and two stickers. Mommy asked Will what his favorite thing was at the Dentist and he said the flavor of the fluoride treatment they put on his teeth. Will had orange and Landon had Banana. They both picked out those flavors on their own. Will is at such a funny age. We never know what he is going to say. You would have thought his favorite thing was the waiting room or the bag of goodies.

Trampoline

Landon got a miniature trampoline for his birthday! It's perfect for him as he is like an energizer bunny that goes and goes until he crashes in his bed at nap time and at night. This is going to be a great outlet for the boys to let out some energy. The boys love it as you can see from the video. Thanks Papaw and Terri!!

Landon's 3rd Birthday!!

Today Landon turned 3 years old. We are so blessed to have him in our lives. Landon is such a funny kid. He always says things that will make you laugh and his smile is so contagious. It's so hard to believe that 3 years ago he was a little infant that could only cry, eat and sleep and 3 years later he has turned into this little boy who is potty trained, knows his entire alphabet as well as the sounds of each letter and can pretty much carry on a conversation with us now. New words he has picked up lately are "of course" and "probably". It's so funny to hear them come out of his little mouth.
Landon LOVES chocolate, so mommy made him a chocolate cake today, not one of her best, but the boys said it tasted good, which is all that matters.

Here is Landon after he ate his big piece of chocolate cake with chocolate icing.
One Happy Boy!!
