Will's Kindergarten Program

Sorry for the lack of blogging , but we have been in North Carolina the past couple weeks on vacation. Please check back as we will be posting pictures from our trip. In the meantime, below are some videos from Will's End of Year Parent Appreciation Program. It is so hard to believe that kindergarten is over and Will is officially a first grader. Our sweet little boy is quickly growing up.

School is out and summer begins...

Yesterday was Will's last day of kindergarten. He has grown and learned so much this year. Mommy and daddy are so proud of him! Will is so excited to be going into first grade. He is definitely growing up way too fast!

Summer has offically started in the Morgan house hold as well as the Florida HEAT. We will spend most of the summer in the pool cooling off as well as going to Disney World and the beach.

Will's class had an end of year party this week and the theme was a Luau. Not real sure why Will is so serious in this picture. He was trying to show us the hula dance.

Granddaddy

Last week was a long and emotional week for our family as we said good-bye to Dottie's grandfather. He was the most amazing granddaddy anyone could ever have and he will be missed greatly. Not only do we have wonderful memories with him, but we also have some things in our house that he made over the years for our family that will always remind us of him. Below are just a few of the things he made.

Dog toy box that the boys use daily.

Granddaddy made the train that Will is playing with when Dottie was a little girl and he gave it to Will when he was born because he was the first great grandson (first boy).

We miss you granddaddy, but you will always be in our hearts.
Thanks for the most amazing 31 years and for being the best granddaddy ever!!

Carolina Blue

Last week we got a 2009 Honda Odyssey. As some of you know, Dottie is very indecisive. She knew exactly what model of van she wanted all the way down to everything inside, including the interior color so it would match the boys car seats. As for the exterior color, that ended up being a major ordeal. Mommy of course liked all the colors. Will right away said that he liked the Carolina Blue. Landon had no idea what was going on and daddy didn't really care as long as he was getting a few toys for him to play with on the inside. After a long time of looking at colors, we must have had Carolina on our minds, because that is the color we went with. Will was so excited and is so proud to be a Tarheel. Here he is in front of our Carolina Blue van with his Carolina hat and shirt. Now all we need is a Tarheel tag to put on the front of the van.

We live in Florida now, but our hearts are still in North Carolina.

Go Tarheels!!!

"Bunny Ears"

Will had a program at school this week that all the kindergarten classes put together called "Bunny Ears" a lesson in listening. It was so cute!! Will sang every song as loud as he could and moved his arms as wide as they would go. He definitely did not have stage fright and he knew exactly what to do. Mommy and daddy were so proud of him.

I think this smile from Will is that he finally saw us out in the audience.

Will's Birthday Party at Blizzard Beach

Will doesn't know many people yet in Florida to come to a party, so we let him pick what he wanted to do for his birthday and he chose to go to Blizzard Beach, a water park at Disney World. We had not been to this water park yet, so it was exciting for all four of us. It was a perfect day, as the weather was gorgeous (not too hot and not too cold) and it was not crowded at all. We highly recommend this water park as it is fun for ALL AGES. Towards the end of the day, Will said to mommy "This is a fun birthday party!". Hope you enjoy the slide show of our fun field day at the park. We would like to have taken more pictures, but we didn't want to get the camera wet.

Papaw, we found a job for you down here. The only thing different is that you can go to work in your flip flops.

Happy Birthday Will!!

Today Will turned 6 and what a wonderful 6 years it has been!! Will is the most loving, tender, caring, child and our lives would not be complete without him. It's kind of sad to think that we can no longer count how old he is on one hand. We now have to use two. Where has the time gone? It seems just like yesterday he was a baby. In the past year Will has turned into this little independent boy who goes to school everyday and no longer needs mommy or daddy to hold his hand to walk into school.

Will has been waiting for today (his birthday) since the day after he turned 5. Will's birthday is his favorite holiday/celebration all year. The only thing we can figure is that all the attention is on him. Will was so excited last night about his birthday today that he had a really hard time going to sleep, but finally he did and woke up super excited that today was finally his birthday. He started out the morning by eating a strawberry waffle and then off to school he went. Later in the day, mommy and Landon took cupcakes to Will's class. Kindergartners are so cute as they get excited over the smallest things. How long does that last? For dinner, Will wanted chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese and Caesar salad. After dinner, we had cake that mommy had made earlier in the day with Landon. After cake, Will got to open up presents, which he had patiently waited for all day. On Saturday, we are going to a water park at Disney World (Blizzard Beach) for Will's birthday. Check back after Saturday for an update on that adventure.

6 year old silly face.

Mrs. Winemiller (Will's teacher) and his class sang and danced a birthday song to Will.

Will and Landon eating cupcakes in Will's class. Landon had a ball and of course was the show pony the entire time we were their.

Mommy made this special cake for Will. All he said he wanted was a yellow cake with blue icing and yellow writing on top. Mommy added the SpongeBob toy on top to give it a little character. Will ended up liking the SpongeBob toy better than the cake.

Will is showing mommy how big of a piece he wants.

One happy boy!!
Will got that birthday hat at school and he wore it all day and all night until he had to get ready for bed. Now the hat is sitting on Will's night stand and he is sound asleep. He had no trouble going to sleep tonight.
Happy Birthday Will!! We love you!!

Happy Easter!!

We had a great Easter Sunday!! This morning mommy and daddy were awoke by two little boys who were all smiles, jumping up and down and saying "get up, get up.... the Easter Bunny came!!" After we saw what the Easter Bunny had brought, we then got dressed up and went to church. After church we came home and the boys hunted for eggs in our back yard. We then made egg salad sandwiches with the dyed eggs for lunch.....yummy!! The rest of the day was pretty relaxing as the boys played with their new goodies from the Easter Bunny and daddy took a nap. It was a great day!!

We are so blessed to have two beautiful healthy boys and so grateful that Jesus rose for us.

All three of mommy's favorite boys smiling at the camera. Just to get Landon and Will to both smile and look at the same time is a challenge, but even Chad is smiling.....that never happens.

Landon's everyday smile.

They're off for an egg hunt!!

Dying Eggs

As a family last night we dyed eggs. It was a lot of fun!! All Landon really wanted to do was stir the dyed water in the cup and Will was trying his hardest to make sure everything was just perfect. Mommy and daddy tried to see who could dye the most eggs and also keep Landon from getting the dyed water everywhere with his spoon.
