Fun Filled Week With The Parker's

We had such an amazing time with Julie and her family last week. Will and Landon were sad to see them leave last night. Dottie was sad too as she misses being closer to her family so she can see them more often. Dottie had a lot of fun spending quality time with Brian and Sarah. Sarah is such a girlie girl and Dottie LOVED it!!

Two little monkeys.

Brian, Will and Landon eating popsicles.
Sarah got to go to Disney World and have her hair done and then eat dinner with the princesses. Will was so glad to see her when she got home.

Brian went to Gymboree with Landon and had a blast.

Dottie and Julie hard at work making fresh squeezed Florida Orange Juice.
Thanks Uncle Tom for the oranges!!
Four really tired kids after a fun filled week.

Thanks for coming to see us Julie, Jeff, Sarah and Brian. We miss you guys already. The house is so quiet and the boys don't know what to do with themselves.

Cocoa Beach With The Parker's

Sunday we took Julie's family to Cocoa Beach for the afternoon. We had a picnic lunch and the kids played for hours in the sand. All four of the kids at one point did end up in the frigid cold water, which at the time they thought was fun, but when they got out they were freezing. After a quick snack and warming up a little, they were all back to playing in the sand.

Landon LOVES playing in the sand.

Sarah had a blast in the water even though it was freezing cold.

Disney World With The Parker's

Over the weekend we went to Magic Kingdom at Disney World with Julie's Family. This was Julie's kids first visit, so they were super excited. Our niece, Sarah, is so into princesses, so she was on cloud nine. As you can see from the pictures we had a great day.

Julie's Family

Will and cousin Sarah were inseparable all day. They were so cute as they had to hold hands everywhere they went.

Will has waited 6 months to go into the castle with his cousin Sarah. Every time we have been to Magic Kingdom, Will would not go into the castle. He said that he was waiting to go in it with Sarah. Well the day finally came and here they are in front of the castle. Sarah is in her light up Tinker Bell outfit. Sorry they are so far away in the picture, but we were trying to get the castle in the picture too. If you double click on the picture it will blow it up so you can see Will and Sarah better. Sarah's best friend, Ansley, was at Disney World too. Here is Will escorting the girls into the castle. Don't you love the prince look - Carolina sweatshirt.

The Rides at Disney World

Will had so much fun riding the rides with Sarah at Magic Kingdom. He really surprised us this weekend and rode everything Sarah did.

This is Will's favorite ride at Magic Kingdom - Buzz Lightyear. He couldn't wait to take Sarah on it. We have to ride this ride every time we go.

Daddy and Landon on the Peter Pan ride.

The Magic Carpet Ride - This is the first real ride, that goes up in the air, that Will has ever ridden. Will said he wanted to ride it if he could sit beside Sarah. We really didn't think he would get on, but he did and he had a lot of fun. Mommy and Landon were in the back and Julie sat with Will and Sarah in the front. Jeff and Brian rode on a carpet behind us and daddy stayed on land and took pictures.

The Parker's Come To Visit

Julie (Dottie's sister) and her family came into town yesterday to visit for a week. The boys were so excited to see their cousins and that they are staying at our house for a week. Dottie is super excited that her sister is here. Last night the two of them went out shopping after the kids went to bed and they came back just a giggling. Dottie and both of her sister's (Julie and Myra) are best friends. When those three "Etherton's" get together it's trouble:)

Hollywood Studios

Saturday we took the boys to Hollywood Studios at Disney World. The weather was absolutely perfect and the boys had a blast as always.
For all you Cars movie lovers, Cars 2 is coming out in a year in a half.

In the middle of the afternoon everyday, they have a parade that is quite entertaining. We had great seats right up front on the curb. We didn't get a picture of it, but the boys mouths were opened in awe during the entire parade. It is actually pretty incredible all the props and costumes they use as you can see from some of the pictures.

Landon did amazing waiting in line for 60 minutes to ride a Buzz Lightyear ride as he usually can't be still for longer than a minute. The ride was actually pretty cool and worth waiting that long for. It wasn't that worth it later in the afternoon though when Landon was tired and Will wanted to ride it again and wait another 60 minutes. That is what is so wonderful about our passes. We can come back another day..... Will was okay with that and we ended up watching a 3D Muppet Show instead.

Enjoying The Florida Weather In January

The weather in Florida this time of year is so nice. We have been taking advantage of the outdoors as much as possible.

Will riding his new bike from Santa.

Okay, so we got a new camera for Christmas and we got a little carried away taking pictures. Mommy and daddy tried to see who could take the best picture of the boys.

Our Little Patriot

Will got a digital camera/video camera for Christmas that he absolutely loves. He has actually taken some pretty good pictures with it. The video feature he is still working on. The other day we caught him videoing himself singing the Star Spangled Banner. Will is probably not going to be real happy with us about 10 years from now for putting this on the blog for the world to hear, but it is sooooooo.... cute.

Will's First Basketball Game

Will started playing on a Basketball Team this past Saturday. He's playing for an organization called Upward, which is a Christian League used all over the world. It is actually held at a church we have been visiting, which also makes it a perk. His games are every Saturday morning for the next 7 weeks. The first 30 minutes they practice followed by a short 30 minute game.

We thought this would be a great way to help Will be a little more aggressive (not mean, but Will is very shy) and also for mommy and daddy to get out there and meet some people. All the coaches and parents were so nice and even after the game came up to us and introduced themselves. That so did not happen during soccer season. Landon had a Carolina sweatshirt on, which attracted even more people to come and talk to us.

This is Will's first time ever playing on a basketball team, so he was super excited. His team is called the Eagles (daddy was really excited about that, mommy not so much - ha,ha!!).
